We help aspiring entrepreneurs turn ideas into start-ups, and early stage businesses into thriving, successful companies. Our vision is for Mauritius to become a vibrant and internationally recognized innovation and start-up hub.We operate on a day to day basis with actors of the entrepreneurial ecosystem and provide support to start-ups in terms of coaching, tailor-made workshops, networking opportunities and co-working space in order to help them build a successful and sustainable business. Our co-working space consists of entrepreneurs and people from various professions who keep the space dynamic and prone to productivity. Turbine is a wholly owned subsidiary of ENL Limited, sister company of Compass Venture Capital and we work closely with STING, a leading Swedish start-up incubator with over 16 years in the business. The Turbine runs four different programmes and a business idea competition geared towards pre-start-up and start-up business ventures. The programmes offer the mentoring and guidance, operational support, physical space, and access to finance and networks that entrepreneurs need to focus on developing their businesses. The Turbine's programmes are open to both Mauritian and foreign nationals, with no restrictions on age or gender. Projects can be from any sector as long as they are innovative and bring something new to the table (a new product, a new service, or new way of doing something). The Turbine is an independent organisation that receives financial and operational support from ENL and other corporate partners. All profits are reinvested in the organisation.
