The MAA was founded to serve and protect the interests of the Profession both locally and internationally. The MAA invites Registered Professional Architects from the public and private sector, Trainee Architects and Students pursuing Architectural Degrees to join its ranks. Each new member becomes part of an incredible community working to elevate Architecture in the Republic of Mauritius. The organisation aims to address current issues and predictable challenges concerning the built environment through its various commissions : Professional Practice, Heritage, Social, Urban and Environmental. The MAA offers a platform for international networking through its partnerships with the African Union of Architects (AUA), the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the International Union of Architects (UIA). The MAA Council is engaged to keep the legacy of this prestigious organisation going strong into the future.
